Problems with Strato

Hi There
I purchased my domain and hosting via Strato and designed the website on a wordpress platform. I am not sure if its due to an update but my website has completely disappeared. Strato have been extremely unhelpful. I am going to cancel my contract with them and purchase the hosting through word press…..is there any way I can rescue to content of my website without having to design the whole thing from scratch again. I really hope you can help

Hi Maria, is the current site accessible at all, even the back end? If it’s totally inaccessible we wouldn’t be able to get content off it. You might try asking your host if they can restore a backup to see if that will help.
If you can access it, try importing using these tips:

Hi there, thank you so much for the reply. The address is mariaohara.com. The site is totally inaccessible…the website comes up as blank and I can’t even access the control panel. Strato have been completely unhelpful and basically said that I would have to use their forums or Google to find a solution.
Any help would be much appreciated

If mariaohara.com is no longer loading and you are unable to login, options for recovering the content will be limited I’m afraid.
The good news is, I’ve been able to find a cached version of your site on the Wayback Machine:

The snapshot is from May 2019 so although it may not be completely up to date, at least it would be a starting point. Content can be copied there and added to the new site you have created with us.
