Problems with the new Black Letterhead theme
-
Cheers!
So, I saw this new and beautiful theme was available, so I switched to it.
Then I uploaded my custom header image.
Now I want to change the header text color from default orange-ish to pure white.
So I select “Change color”, choose white, then click on choose color again to close the emerging palette, and then Save Changes. But no changes are made. Still orange-ish.
I’ve tried doing it opening the color palette, click on white, then save changes, but still the same.
I’ve cleaned Firefox’s cache and retried, but no positive results :(
Do I need to purchase the rigths to customize my css to do this?
Or it’s just that this theme still needs some finetunning?
Thanks a lot :)
ps: my site if you want to check it out: http://julitros.wordpress.com

it’s a new theme.. it may be a bug. contact wordpress.
P.S. if a feature shows up, it is avaiable.
and try a different browser
-
How do I contact wordpress? The “feedback” button is gone and the support section of the site is closed.
IE7 shows it orange-ish, too, as a friend just told me (i’m in Gutsy RC so no IE for me :P). Will see what do other browsers say…
Thanks

Different browsers are probably not going to make a difference in this case.
You’ll have to wait till the support button is reactivated, in about six hours.
-
go to http://wordpress.com/contact-support/ but, it’s only open Monday – Friday 9 AM – 5PM PDT
yeah… i think it’s s bug
-
try emailing (email visible only to moderators and staff) (i found the address in my contacts, so it may be out of date)

It’s irrelevant to the discussion here. That is for reporting Terms of Service violations.
-
dariobauer – support requests to the tos address are completely ignored. Really they are.
-
Having similar problem – the default header text won’t turn off. Oh well, support opens in a couple of hours, I’m sure they’ll get it fixed. Great theme!
-
I tried to hide the header text but it didn’t take. I then tried to change the header text color, but that didn’t take either. =(
Really nice, theme, though. I’ll just change my header when it’s been tweaked. =)
-
I have successfully uploaded a custom header on my test blog but I’m experiencing the same problem. I cannot hide the text and I cannot change the colour of the text either.
-
Same here… the image stands alone (i.e. w/o text) on the Custom Image Header page, but on the blog itself both are superimposed.
-
dariobauer,
just a note………
if a feature shows up, it is avaiable.i’m afraid that’s not entirely true! for example, no matter what theme you use, you are given the option to write a blog title and blog byline. but there are quite a few themes out there that won’t show either the byline or even the blog title!
or say page parenting – you can’t achieve that visually in all themes.
but in this case, it’s probably a bug.

w00t! off to check – Thanks :)
Edit: Bad news – I still can’t hide the title text and tagline on my header in my private blog.
-
tt: works fine for me in Opera and FF. Clear your cache, then send more details to support if problems persist.
