Problems with the URL

  Hi there,
  I’m new to wordpress and feeling very stressed.
  My URL is http://www.thedyslexicgenius.com
  when I type this address in, it goes to a page I have deleted.
  What I would like is for it to be directed to my home page.
  Really grateful for some advice

  This is easy to fix: make a blog post.

  So far you have only static Pages, which show in the header tabs. You’ve deleted the placeholder Post that WP.com puts on your blog, but you haven’t made a new Post. Do so, and that’s where it will show up.

  As raincoaster said when you delete the Hello World placeholder post you get a 404 (page not found) error. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/ Not to worry because as soon as you publish a post, not a page it will disappear. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

  P.S. Changing themes will not change the 404 (page not found).
