Problems with widgets

  Hey there!

  I’m a newbie. Got a few questions I could never find answers for in Support. They’re pretty lame, but I do need help.

  1) I’ve got my own Gravatar in my profile with my e-mail address. But every time I try to add Gravatar to my blog’s widgets (on a sidebar), it shows a completely different picture (the one that’s on my upper panel of the profile). How do I finally get my Gravatar on the Gravatr widget on my blog?

  2) When trying to add the Categories widget to my sidebar, I always face a problem with creating subcategories to choose. In other words, I add the Category widget to the sidebar, type the title and check “Show as dropdwon” or any of the other two, but I still don’t know how to add the actual categories in it. All the time it just shows ‘Uncategorized’ in my list of the Category. How can I solve it?

  This is the result of clicking your username:

  thinktwiceopinion.wordpress.com is no longer available.
  The authors have deleted this blog.

  To link you living blog to your username do this please. Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

  Now every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

  (1) Gravatar instructions are here. If you have changed yours then update it and be patient as there is a time delay before that change propagates. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/avatars/gravatars/

  (2) You cannot add anything to the widget. The widget will display published posts that you have assigned categories to. Until there is a published post in each category or sub-category there is no data for the widget to display. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/
