problems with Yoast and wordpress

I have a relatively new website hosted by WordPress. I am using the Astra theme and a starter template as well as Elementor, Yoast for seo and updraftplus for backups. The problem is the following: After making changes to the content and pictures on a page, I have gone to Yoast to do seo work such as adding a focus keyphrase, site title and description. All I have to do is hit the update button after making any changes to the seo i.e., focus keyphrase and or others, and the page I am working on will revert all content and pictures back to the default content and pics that came with the starter template. I doesn’t affect the header or footer. Just the body that is edited with Elementor. At that point I can insert my pics and content again, until I hit that update button again. I have tried deleting the browsing data cache and then logging back into WordPress, but that doesn’t help. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It’s odd that after entering a focus keyword on Yoast SEO, the content on your post is being changed to the default content. Have you tried talking to the Yoast customer service team to understand why this might be happening?
