Problems with Zdstatistics plugin

Hi,
I have just installed the plugin ZdStatistics onto my wordpress blog and everything is working fine accept the Geolocalization, a feature where you can track where your visitors are coming from around the world.
The author of the plugin says on his site http://www.zen-dreams.com/blog-en/wordpress/zdstats/ that the “wordpress automatic upgrade…deletes the plugin folder. In order to avoid this, do a manual upgrade, or save the file before your update, or finally, upload it again after the upgrade.*
I have downloaded the geolocalisation folder seperately into my computer c drive as instructed on the website and trued to upload the downloaded file to no avail.
The author of the plugin says, “Setup is very simple, just unzip the archive in your wp-content/plugins folder. Download the GeoLiteCity.dat specified above and place it in the geoip folder (in fact, I’m not sure if it’s redistruable, so you’ll have to download it yourself).”
Can anyone help?
