Processing Payment to upgrade my account

WordPress is saying that my debit card is being declined. I spoke with my bank and they said that there is nothing wrong with the card or the account (w/ plenty of $ in the account). I’ve made other purchases with the card today and haven’t had any problems.

Below are the only accepted means of payment.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/payment/WordPress.com uses PayPal as the payment processor, and as such, can only accept payment from countries they support: https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/
If for whatever reason, they have chosen to block payment from your country, you will not be able to purchase an upgrade here unless you have a source of payment outside of your country. Note: You can buy a prepaid credit card from an approved country.
In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.
The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.

Sorry to hear you are having problems with this! It would be useful to know the following information:
- What were you trying to purchase when you saw the error message?
- What type of card were you using?
- Did the error message give a reason for your card being declined?

I was trying to upgrade my WordPress site to Premium.
I was using a standard VISA check card (from a well established Credit Union in Oregon) with all the symbols on the back. I’ve never had a problem with online purchasing or in-person uses either.
The message said that my card was declined and that I should try a different card.

Thanks for your help. The issue seems to be resolved. I tried the card again and it seems to have worked this time.
