Product attribute help

    This there any way to create product codes for attributes?, for example i have a product that is sold in different colours, However when the product is added to a customers cart the same product code shows with the colour next to it. Is there a way to change the product code when a customer changes the colour

    Hi there!

    You can have different product codes (SKU’s) for each of the variations by following these steps:

    1. Go to Products: From the left-hand menu, click on Products and select the product you want to edit or create a new product.
    2. Add Product Variations:
      • Scroll down to the Product Data section.
      • Ensure the Product Type is set to Variable Product.
      • Click on the Attributes tab and add the necessary attributes (e.g., Color). Make sure to check the “Used for variations” box.
      • After adding the attributes, go to the Variations tab.
    3. Add Variations:
      • Click on Add variation and select Create variations from all attributes. This will create variations for all combinations of your attributes.
      • Click on Go and confirm.
    4. Set Unique SKUs for Each Variation:
      • For each variation, click into edit to open the variation settings.
      • You will see a field for SKU. Enter a unique SKU for each variation. For example, if you have a product with a base SKU of ABC123, you could use ABC123-RED for the red variation and ABC123-BLUE for the blue variation.
