Product codes in suppliers .xml feed
-
Hi.
I have Woocommerce installed on WP 4.9.4 I’m trying to set up an efficient way to update my product database via an XML feed from my supplier.
The feed has a column containing numerical product codes with a delimiter to separate the parent and sub category codes in the same cell.
How do I convert these codes to useful names that my site can display?
Thanks.

Hi there @nerdshopcouk – It sounds like you are referring to a site using the standalone WordPress software and WooCommerce plugin as there is no content at nerdshopcouk.wordpress.com
WordPress comes in 2 flavors: the fully hosted WordPressdotcom (where we are ) and the open source WP (org) project at https://wordpress.org This support guide explains some of the differences between them: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You can find all the support information for sites using the WP (org) software at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page and at https://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums, you can register one on that page. I also suggest searching the forums there for a similar issue before posting.
For assistance with WooCommerce:
-If you have a WordPress.com Business Plan, you can open a ticket while logged into your account: https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/-If you have a self-hosted site (running the WordPress software on your own web hosting) with a paid extension, you can open a ticket at the same link above.
-If you have a self-hosted site and have a general WooCommerce question, but don’t have a paid WooCommerce extension, you can post in the WordPress.org WooCommerce forum at: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce
Hope that helps and best wishes.
