Product links on my blog posts

In my blog regularly review personal electronic gadgets and update with the technologies related to them. So when I review some products, I would want to provide links to buy that particular product or related accessories. Not every time I would provide as most of my posts are also about news and updates for which I provide links to related websites/blogs for more information. By links to products, I mean amazon affiliate links so that I can earn little bit of money sometimes to be able to provide more information to the users. I am confused whether I can provide or not. If yes whether it is allowed in the post or in the text widgets. I have read somewhere that no images for product links are allowed which I agree with.

Thanks alot for the reply. Yes I have gonbe through the explanation given by timethief. I am not intending to fill my blog with affliate links, I would want to only recommend the product links related to the post in the description to improve the user experience. Hopefully it will be allowed.
