Product Variations

    hi,

im trying to add variable products to my site. At the moment the bulk of my variable products use a plugin which requires them to be listed as a simple prodcuts before adding variables through the front end. this solution worked fine but i now need to do inventory tracking on new stock which isnt possible using the plugin.

I’m aware of how to use the variable prodcuts option as thats what was initially used – at that point it worked perfectly. however that was 2 years ago and my client had a differnt theme and way less plugins.

when i add variables im making sure to add the prices and ensure everything listed is in stock. however when i test on the front end – even though everything is visible the options malfunction.
i have two product types – the first has one set of options for size – i can select but when attempting to add to basket an error message pops up saying ‘pleasse select some options before adding to basket’

the second product type has two sets of options – one for size and one for additional adjustments – only one set can be selected at a time – so if size 52 has been selected there is now way of adding the option for adding the additional sizing option can not be selected – it only allows one option out of both sets to be clicked.

im inlcuding links to both products but any help would be much appreciated please.

  • Hi,

It looks like your site is using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but is hosted with another webhost.

We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us here at WordPress.com. For help with a WordPress site hosted elsewhere you’ll need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:

    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Depending on the level of support that is included with your hosting plan, your webhost’s support team may also be able to assist.

If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the open-source WordPress software you can read this article:
