  I have a domain through Register.com. When I changed the DNS settings I pointed the email at wordpress also. I am told that I need to change the settings in my wordpress account. I have the information but don’t know how to do this. Please help.

  It looks like you did everything right so far. The last step is to set your domain as your primary domain here:
  https://wellequippedco.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

  Once you’ve done that, please allow up to 72 hours for the domain records to update across the internet and display your site correctly. In the meantime, you can continue to access your site’s Dashboard directly at https://wellequippedco.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
