  Hi

  I want to change my nickname on my profile to my name, rather than admin so that when I reply to comments it comes up with my name, and when I post posts etc. But it won’t let me as when I enter my email it says it’s then pending a change to the email I put in, despite it being the email that the account is set up with?

  Just to confirm — is sounds like you wish to change the nickname for your account on globetrottingfarmgirl.com. Is that correct?

  Hi, yes I do. I know where to go to change it, but it won’t accept that my email is the correct one.

  That site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress software found on WordPress.org.

  There is no change you can make from WordPress.com that will change your admin account on that site, as there is no connection between the two accounts. To make changes to the admin user on your site you need to go to the Users section in the site’s WP-Admin dashboard instead. You can find the documentation for those user tools here:
