    Hi Anna,

    Where did you choose “‘portfolio’ option”? There aren’t two different profile options named blog and portfolio. The front page of https://notforgranted5.wordpress.com is set to display the latest posts. That means the front page (aka homepage) is the blog page. The site’s portfolio page is here: https://notforgranted5.wordpress.com/portfolio/. The fact that it’s empty indicates that there are no portfolio projects published on the site.

    I just create my wordpress domain

    What is the domain (URL) that you refer to?

    Hi!
    Thank you for your help. I am not specialist in creating blogs, but I would try to explain as much as I can my problem is.
    Referring to your firs message, yes portfolio is not on front page because I was playing with theme option to hide it.

    The portfolio option I choose was before I choose domain options (there were another like professional or just blog option) I was thinking it do not really matter, but way how the page itself look like, and options I have on my account are totally different from typical wordpress view I used to see in my friends pages. (maybe its a matter of unpaid subscription?) Because my internal interface is now also with portfolio option I was wondering if there is possibility to resign of it as far as I do not have any interest to develop it.
    Best!

  • Hi there,

    Libre 2 comes with a Portfolio option, so there is no way to get rid of that option within the dashboard. However, you don’t need to see the portfolio feature even though it is available.

    Is it notforgranted5.wordpress.com that you are referring to?

    I think she means that she chose an option at Create a Site in response to the question What kind of site are you building? (Options: Blog, Business, Professional, Online Store) that led to her obtaining a portfolio style theme. It was probably the Professional option, which has the tagline “Showcase your portfolio and work.”

    Change “was probably” to “might have been, for example.”

  • Hi @musicdoc1 – I think you’re right that’s the Portfolio option they refer to.

    @fiveforgranted
    – The Portfolio option you chose when you created your site is only there to suggest some themes with the portfolio feature built-in. If you rather not use that option you can simply choose not to create any projects or switch to a different theme.

    I was reffering exacly to this issue. As I understand there is no way to skip it from dashboard options, that is why is just better to leave it and not use it.

    Yes, you can opt to not use it, by not creating any portfolio projects, but I’m not sure what you mean by “there is no way to skip it.”

    You may disable the portfolio feature at My Site > > Manage > Settings > Content Types > Portfolio Projects. Just switch the toggle button to the off position and save the change. With portfolio projects turned off, you won’t be able to create portfolio projects, AND even if you’ve created projects previously, they’ll be hidden from the administrative interface and can’t be displayed publicly. Also, your portfolio page (https://notforgranted5.wordpress.com/portfolio/) will not display, as it does now even though there are no projects in it, if portfolio projects is turned off.
