profile affixed to individual posts – accidentally
-
I have no doubt that I did this but I don’t know how. I was trying to fix another problem and probably tried something. Before I make it worse, Could someone please tell me how to turn off the setting that affixes my profile (Gravatar apparently) to each post. It just started showing and doesn’t seem to apply to earlier posts.
I did a quick search using ‘profile affixed to individual posts’ and didn’t see anything pertinent.
Thanks in advance.

Very few themes have an author profile that displays below every post. In most themes there is no such feature and the data derived from here > Dashboard > Users > My Profile > About You (section) does not appear on the blog. It appears appears on your Gravatar profile page. If you do not want it to display you have 2 opitions:
1. Switch to a theme that is not designed to display an author profile.
2. Retain the Twenty Ten theme and go to > Dashboard > Users > My Profile > About You (section) and remove the ext there. Click “Save changes”.For a partial list of themes that provide author bylines and/or author profiles or not see > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/08/15/author-displayed-or-not/

Thanks. I really like my theme. I’m not big on appearance over function, and twenty ten gives me the function (in areas I consider important) and the appearance is fine. Whatever I did, it’s new, so I know it can be undone and I don’t need to ditch my theme. I’ll look where you pointed me and see what I can do. Later…
