profile email address change not working

  I have just changed my ISP and therefore mail address. I have entered the new email address in my profile (and it does change) and following ‘save’ I get your confirmation email. However I still can’t login with the new email address. Firstly it seemed to want a different password. I have changed the pw which does work with the original email address. I am afraid I do not understand the Help topic on changing email addresses. Can you help further please. Geoff

  Did you change the email address at Users -> Personal Settings in your Dashboard?

  The email address in the Settings section of your blog’s Dashboard is just for email notifications.

  macmanx, thanks for the reply

  – I seem to have sorted out the correct place to change the email address (admin) and get the confirmation… it seems to be (it is!) working.

  After a brief stab at it some time ago I now need to learn WordPress from the ‘WordPress for Dummies’ book beside me !!
