  Trying to upload profile photo. Got redirected to Gravitars site where i did so. But donT think profile photo is showing on my wordpress blog acct? Please help or check.

  WordPress.COM and Gravatar are both owned by the same company ie. Automattic Inc. A wordpress.com account and a gravatar account are one in the same thing.
