Gravatar/blavatar (favicon) images do not show up instantly after uploading them. Gravatar images are cached and frequently take several days to display after a change.
For best practices for uploading gravatars, avatars and blavatars scroll down to below the video here: http://onecoolsite.wordpress.com/2010/01/24/gravatar-avatar-blavatar/

@zellz
Look here http://en.gravatar.com/zellzYou can have only one gravatar image for every wordpress.com account and every wordpress.com account a gravatar account.

I understand what you mean about wordpress accounts also being gravatar accounts. But the image shows on the gravatar page and not the WordPress page, is why I said that.
I first uploaded the image several days ago; it still isn’t showing on the WordPress account.
I have now uploaded the image I want as my profile pic in three different places within the Gravatar system. I’m still not sure I changed it in the right location. On this page, it tells me I’ve got the image:
https://secure.gravatar.com/site/wpcom?wpcc-no-close
On this page, it gives me the option of selecting the anonymous default image or my own, but nothing I do on this page makes the image “stick”; I can’t save it. I select my own image, but when I leave the page, it resets to the generic.

If I may say, this is an *extremely* not-user-friendly way to handle profile pics. The images are small and users only need one at a time… it would be *highly* preferable to let us stay in the WordPress interface to do this.

You placed an image in your gallery here https://secure.gravatar.com/zellz but you did not select it to be your gravatar.
