  I keep trying to upload a profile photo but it always sais ‘couldnt upload please try again’

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi @ rhyiasrucksack,

  Just to clarify: are you trying to upload a profile photo for your WordPress.com profile by selecting the Profile Icon between the Write and Notifications (Bell) icons at the top right of your screen and then navigating to My Profile, and selecting the Profile Picture Icon and uploading a new picture that way? And after all that, it’s failing to upload?

  If that is the case, an initial fix may be to empty the cache in your browser and then try again.

  If the problem persists, just let me know and we can take another look at it :)

  Hi @rhyiasrucksack,

  I’m sorry that must be massively frustrating to have the problem persist!

  Are you trying to upload your profile picture to your WordPress.com account using a desktop, or using the mobile app? I sometimes have had connectivity and other problems when trying to perform an action through the mobile app that was resolved when I used a desktop browser.

  I will tag staff here so they can see the thread and further advise us.

  Hi rhyiasrucksack,

  It sounds like you are having trouble uploading a profile photo from the My Profile page in a browser on your computer. Is that right?

  I visited that page in your account, chose an image to upload and then I saw the cropping tool. Do you see the error message after clicking “Change my photo” or are you unable to get that far?

  If you haven’t done so already, it would be great if you could:

  1. Try using a different browser to see whether the same happens there
  2. Check to see whether the image is in one of our accepted image formats

  HEllo,

  I manage to crop the image and then click to add the photo and then it loads as though its about to work but comes up with “hmm it seems your avatar wasnt saved”.

  I tried on a different platform and checked if the image was an accepted one, and it should all be fine, but wont work :(

  Hi there,

  If you already tried a different browser and didn’t work, can you please try uploading your picture from a different computer and even try a different internet connection?

  I tried to upload a different photo and that worked, so perhaps there was something about the first photo i wanted to use…
