  I want to add my profile picture. But I don’t want to sign up to Gravatar. I only want to add my picture. How do I do that please.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi.

  You can also use an ‘Image Widget’.. Here’s a link on ‘How to Insert and Image’ for your widget sidebar.

  Thanks for taking the time but every time I click on the circle where the my profile picture goes in My Profile, I am always taken to Gravatar. There is no apparent ability to upload any image from any URL without first going through Gravatar (Like Twitter, FB, Instagram, Pinterest etc). Cheers Charles.

  Not sure exactly where/how then you are talking about adding a ‘profile picture’… The link and information I gave is just for ‘any image’ it does not even have to have a link/url this is a ‘random image’ you can have in your sidebar… You can also give it a title and / or caption as well.

  Because if you only want a profile picture on your blog, you just wouldn’t use ‘gravatar’ at all..

  If you are talking about a profile picture that is left also when commenting etc and shows in your own ‘blog header’ then, no, the only ‘image’ you can use is linked to gravatar. What is the main problem with Gravatar for you? So I can possibly work something out?

  and add your image.

  Thanks. It looks as though the profile picture process is managed by Gravatar so no way round it. But it looks as though one is required to / forced to sign up for the complete Gravatar service. I think I found a way around this Gravatar sign up though …but now done. Thank you for help.

  Yes, gravatar alone…. on another blog I just have a picture there and give 0 information… not even a blog address. (at one point I thought you just wanted a picture on your blog).
