I do not have that Gravatar link on my site. I am actually on a multisite, and am trying to add avatars for each user. I can’t seem to add an avatar for them or me.
Do you HAVE to have a Gravatar account in order to add an avatar?

What does that mean? If you are referring to a free hosted WordPress.com blog then you cannot create blavatars, avatars, or gravatars for other official users of the blog or for commenters. They must create their own and if they don’t you can activate a default avatar to display on the Settings > Discussion page. On that page please scroll down to:
Avatars
An avatar is an image that follows you from weblog to weblog appearing beside your name when you comment on avatar enabled sites. Here you can enable the display of avatars for people who comment on your site.

Sorry for not being clear. The company that I work for has a multisite on .org. (iguanabooks.com)
We have authors that are blogging, but whenever they post a comment or reply to a comment it’s just the generic avatar, and I want to set it up so that they have their own avatar, be it their image or whatever else they want to show there.
Hopefully that was clearer.

You have accidentally posted to the wrong support forum. We cannot help you here at WordPress.com with that site as it’s not being hosted by WordPress.com and we run on different software. This is the correct forum for your software http://wordpress.ORG/support/
