    Hello there!

In order to set up those buttons, you should go to your site’s Dashboard. Then, click Appearance → Theme Options.

As you enter your social media links, they’ll appear as buttons.

I hope this helps! Take care.

    Hi there,

Thanks for helping. I’ve updated the social media links but the buttons do not appear…

Hi Andrew! Just one more adjustment needs to be made.

In your site’s Dashboard, click Pages → All Pages. Then open your Home page in the editor. In the right-hand column, you’ll see a module labeled Page Attributes. Under the header, Template, choose either Home Page or Social Page in order to display your icons.

That should do the trick. Let me know how it works out for you, or if I can help with anything else. Thanks!

Thank you very much, the links are showing!

I’m not sure if the email link is working properly though. When I click on it a new tab opens up not an emailing system like gmail. Can you let me know if it’s working and if not how to fix it?

Thanks so much for your help.

Hi there! Great about those links!

I checked out your mail link. It works great. What it does is open the user’s Email Application on their computer in order to send you a note. It’s up to you if this feels like something your visitors would like, then go for it. However, if you feel like your population would prefer to use an browser-based web client (ie. gmail and hotmail), then you may want to remove the link.

In lieu of the email button, you can always add a contact form to your site:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

I usually suggest the contact form, as it does protect your from random internet spam. Having your email accessible to the public can bring all sorts of unwanted attention.

It’s all a matter of preference, though!

Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!
