Profile theme free wordpress blog accounts

  I want to have the Profile theme(https://wordpress.com/themes/profile/) for my blog (https://niishahandmade.wordpress.com/) which is a free blog account. When I go to the Profile theme to purchase, it says go premium, does it mean I have to have a premium wordpress account? What if I purchase the theme and then it does not work with the free account. I have written to the theme support but no clear reply. They talk in such computer expert language which is hard to understand. My simple question is that can I buy and use the Profile theme for my free wordpress blog??????? Please if anyone can support.
