profile/gravatar picture
-
I have a blog on this site and I use the Fictive theme. I went to update my profile picture on my blog the other day, and I could find no way to do so like I did when I chose the theme. I’ve tried using different themes, but I have no idea how to change my profile pic/gravatar image on my blog. There are no clear instructions anywhere. Now, all I have as a gravatar/profile image is a purple and white kaleidoscope-like picture. How do I fix this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, there.
First, make sure that your email address is all lower case letters under Appearance > Customize > Theme.
Also, it sometimes takes a little time before a new setting takes effect, due to caching.
I do see your Gravatar info pop up when I put the cursor over the kaleidoscope image, but it ought to show your Gravatar image there.
Here’s what’s in the theme documentation for Fictive about the matter.
By default, Fictive uses the email address found under Users → Personal Settings to generate the Gravatar seen in the header. If you want to use a different Gravatar account, you can put in an email address in the Gravatar Email field, or leave it blank to remove the Gravatar entirely.

A couple other quick notes that might help.
Since Fictive uses your Gravatar to get the image, you might want to review the info at that link.
Also, to display on WordPress.com, I believe that you must have an image with a “G” rating, so if you set it to “PG” or above, it won’t display.
Hope this helps.

Hi, noebiewan!
Thank you for your suggestions and links. I was finally able to get it figured out. I think it was because my rating was set at PG instead of G.
Thanks again!

Awesome!
Yeah, there are so many little details that can bork things up, sometimes it’s hard to track ’em down. Glad you got it sorted.
