Program Search Terms into HTML/CSS?

  Hello,

  Our blog is the WTP 2030 Blog, but we want it to come up in a Google/Other browser search for the following search terms:

  Washington Transportation Plan
  Washington State Transportation Plan
  WTP 2030
  WTP 2030 Blog
  WTP Blog

  How do I make this happen?

  Thank you!

  Are you using those terms as Categories and Tags on your published posts? Are those terms likewise appearing in the Titles, Sub-Titles and in the natural flow of the text withing your published posts? If so then in time your blog posts will be indexed and those terms will contain your posts in search engine results when people type them into the search engines.

  Thank you. I did Add that as a Tag and Category, however, since there is already a lot of pages out there with the title “Washington Transportation Plan” and we only have one post so far, it’s showing up on pg 9 of a google search. I think it would take a long time and A LOT of posts for it to top or even come close to the WSDOT site using that route. Since we can access the HTML code, we can’t add Meta tags correct? Any other options? Thank you!

  Yes, you are correct we cannot edit metadata. Even if we could it would make no difference as Google doesn’t use it. See >

  Have you verified ownership of your blog with the big 3 search engines?
