Projects not showing on homepage

I’m using Illustratr and I’ve published a few projects, but they’re not showing up on my homepage like they do in the Illustratr theme demo.

Hi there. You need to set up your portfolio page as your blog’s home page. The instructions are in the theme’s support document under the heading: Portfolio Page Template

Thanks! I followed the instructions under Portfolio Page Template, but on step 3, I have no option to choose Portfolio Page for my front page. My only options are the actual pages that I’ve created. Does that make sense? Bc you can create posts, pages, and portfolios. It only lets me choose from pages, not portfolios. I created a dummie page just to test it out, but again, that’s all that shows up. No portfolios.

You have to first create the page. Go to Pages ->Add New. Title the page whatever you want (e.g. Portfolio, but you can give it another name as well). Don’t write anything on the page, but in the Page Attributes module you select the page template as Portfolio Page Template. (If you don’t see the Page Attributes module, click on Screen Options at the top of the page and select it there.) Publish the page. When you view that page it should show your portfolio projects as determined by your theme.
Now you go to Settings ->Reading and select that page as your homepage.

Awesome!!! It worked!!! Thank you!! I had set the page attributes for my individual portfolio projects I guess, but apparently not for a new page. Anyway, thank you so so so much!!
