Promote viewers

  Why aren’t we able to promote viewers to eg contributors or authors?

  Viewers are listed under “Settings > Reading” instead of included in the list of all users. Seems counter-intuitive to me. Odd to separate them out and odd not to include as a user.

  I’m setting up a private blog and some viewers will at some point become authors. Odd that I’ll have to re-invite them and can’t just promote from within the Users screen.
