Proofread

The proofread function doesn’t seem to be working. After I post a poem, I click proofread and nothing happens.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

I have just tested the Proofread function in both the new and classic editors and didn’t have any trouble. Could you let us know which editor you are using?

Also do you have any browser add-ons that would prevent JavaScript or popups from running?

The more information you can provide us the better chance we’ll have at tracking this down.

    Cheers!

I switched to the “Switch to the improved posting experience,” just below the edit sign at the top of the page and the proofread worked. How do I get that “improved posting experience” to be what edit goes to each time?
Neither Yahoo nor Firefox worked with the classic editor and only Yahoo worked with the “improved” editor.

Is there away to disable the browser add ons at Firefox, which is my default browser?

If you visit the post editor from https://wordpress.com > My Sites or click “My Sites” from the black toolbar at the top of the page you’ll be taken to the newer editor.

To visit the classic editor you’ll need to add “wp-admin” to your site or click the “WP Admin” link from the toolbar menu.

You can use your browser in Safe-Mode to temporarily disable all add-ons for testings:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-safe-mode

Or disable and remove them from the browser:

    Thanks.
I followed the instructions; went to safe mode, disabled plug ins, etc.

Went to my blog site. Typed in a misspelling and hit proofread. Still nothing. In the original mode the frame still freezes and in the newer mode, the proofread function does not work.

I enabled all and so here I am about where I was to begin with when using my default browser.

The newer mode proofreads when I go to Yahoo and then Google to my blog.

It’s a bit of an inconvenience, but I guess it’s what I have to do.

    Anyway, thanks for the support.

Now, all of a sudden, the proofread function is working again on the classic site using my Firefox browser.
Go tell; whatever. Some small glitch corrected by technicians. I’m happy.

Thank you for suggestions which I may need in the future.

I appreciate your time and talent.

Thanks to both you Happiness Engineers for the help. I just tried the proofread function at my blog and it is working.
