There’s no option for spell check or grammer checking my blog posts- and I know this has to be an option…am I missing something? How can I spellcheck?
-
Hi,
Have you tried editing your posts from your Dashboard Editor? I’ve noticed that I only have the option to perform spellcheck from there. Here’s a couple of links that I found helpful. The different ways to write a post: https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/

Hi! Thanks for your comment @ohstine- What’s strange is that When I’m in Dashboard, I see all the edit icons but ABC (spell Check)– even after referring to the article you attached, I have all those mentioned but ABC. I don’t understand….
-
That is strange. Hopefully another member will have a better idea for you, but just in case I’ve also added the tag modlook to see if a staff member can help you out.

Oh and to clarify, your classic editor is here:
http://2manyopentabs.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php . You should see the spellcheck option there, just not in the newer editor yet, as we’re still working to add that feature.
-
Thank you so much! Any projected date when it’ll be on the newer editor? Also- does wordpress not offer live chat anymore?
-
@karsson, I don’t have an ETA for that, but it is a priority project.
And yes we do offer live chat. You should be able to find us here:

Is there any way to continue to use the older version of the editor you had, which had spellcheck. This new version is not very user friendly with scrolling up and down on the page with the bar. Thanks.
-
Sure, @myrandomness01 . The newer editor is part of a system meant to manage many sites from one interface, regardless of what device you’re using. But you can still manage one site at a time in the older system. Just add /wp-admin to the end of your site URL.
