properly embed youtube in rss feed

  On the rss feed, youtube videos appear as an image. Is there a way to either setup rss or to embed the videos so they are properly embedded on the rss feed?

  It depends on what type of feed they are using. The google reader allows one to view youtube videos. On the default rss feed I dont believe that is possible, I have never seen it done before.

  Hi aw1923, you’re right my profile is not properly set, but I’m really referring to wordpress.com.

  My issue doesn’t have to do with the feed reader. Granted, some feed readers do support flash and some don’t. Nevertheless, my feed places an image tag where the embedded video object should be.

  If you look at the source code of a feed with a properly embedded youtube video, you will see the whole embedding code in there (object classid etc…).
