Properly undoing infinite scroll
-
Hello all,
I added some code to change infinite scroll to a page by page system and it worked for a while, but now the “older posts” button seems to have disappeared. Can anyone help me fix that? Thanks so much in advance!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have added this:
#infinite-handle { display: none; }Add this too:
.index-footer { display: block; }If it doesn’t work, turn it to:
.index-footer { display: block !important; }PS Please don’t bump threads. Very few of us help with CSS editing, so you just have to wait: bumping a thread 6 hours after you started it is pointless. And actually it’s worse than that: when we reply, we usually tackle questions from older to newer, so bumping a thread has the exact opposite effect of what you’re hoping for.

Thanks, that worked!
Sorry about bumping. I’m very thankful for all the work you guys do. I wasn’t sure what the proper wait time was. Some get answered very quickly and some take a lot longer, but I can never pin down the proper wait time! I’ve actually started a few threads on my personal blog that never got answered and just got closed after a few weeks. So I apologize, again.

24 hours at least – as Panos notes – threads with no responses are generally worked ahead of those that look like they are being helped – also you need to wait for someone that can answer your question.
Regular helpers in the forum will not work a thread unless they can help in some way.

@poictesme: You’re welcome.
No need to apologize: I just pointed out something you should keep in mind. I’m sorry to say that “proper waiting time” is several days. As an example out of numerous ones, here’s a recent question that was answered by staff three weeks after it was posted:

Some questions are worked quickly – I look at a lot of questions to see if they are in the correct forum to get help.
Many people with WordPress.ORG installs will post here – if I see one of them I try and give them a quick answer to send them to the correct place to get help – I think I did several of them today
