Protected- Private post problem

  hello.
  I am new.
  Ok i have posted stuff on my blog and i have made some private and i have password protected them. ther are 2 passwords.

  Problem 1
  Then i tried to view the protected ones and yes i had to key in the password. Once i keyed in the password, nothing happens. The page does not load and it says “done’ so i refresh screen and again nothing and then i click “back’ and then the protected blogs appear. This happens everytime. I have tried it on my note book as well as my pc and i have this problem. Why is that so? Can anyone tell me?

  Problem 2

  After i close my browser, and when i come back to my blog again later, the passoword protected posts are still showing. I logged in checked the settings and stuff and logged out. Then opened my blog page without logging in and they are still showing. Any ideas?
  I tried the 2nd password and then the first batch goes into hiding and then the second batch keep being displayed. close browser and open again and they are still there.

  Can anyone help? Any idea why this happens? What happens if i share my pc with someone and then after i have gone they open the browser and can read all my Password protected private blogs?

  i hope someone understands what i mean..

  Problem 1: Don’t know, sorry

  Problem 2: The password is stored as a cookie, so once you have entered it you don’t need to enter it again. If you clear your cookies or replace the first password cookie with a different one, the posts become inaccessible again.

  Hey Judyb12 thanks that helps a little.

  But problem is then even if i close my bowser (IE) and then later on i open the browser again and navigate to my blog address those post’s that had previously been opened with the password still remain visible. So if i leave the pc on and go do somethign else anyone who sits down at my pc and navigates to my blog would be able to read those posts that had previously been opened with the password.

  I wonder if i am the only one having this problem?

  That’s how cookies work. Unless you have set your browser to clear your cookies after every session, they stay there. It’s kind of the whole point of cookies.
