Protected/Private Posts with passwords

  What happened to protected / private posts viewable only with passwords?!!!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi!

  I am not sure what you mean :) When you are publishing a post, inside the Publish widget under Visibility, you can choose to make the post password protected – http://imgur.com/NiqB4bf

  Hello, Dakisha.

  Until this update, I was able to password protect every entry on my blog. When I attempted to do the same with a new post last night, there was no option to post as Protected (with password). I logged in and out three times and even restarted my computer and cleared all history and cache, but still no option available to post a password protected blog entry. I’m using Mozilla/Firefox (browser).

  Can you, PLEASE, remove either my question and/or the link to my blog from the forum?

  It seems that assistance from the staff is necessary in this case. I’ve tagged this thread with modlook so that they can take a look and help.

  In the meanwhile, could you try using another browser just to make sure it’s not an issue with Firefox? Thanks!

  Thank you, I think.
  If I wanted to use a different browser, I would not be using Mozilla.
  Is it a glitch in the particular theme I’m using??

  Were you able to remove my post/question and/or blog site link from the forum??

  “Both of those things are there. Click the “Edit Visibility” button at the top right to add a post password. Saving a draft happens automatically.”

  Problem solved by someone named Sheri.

  Ugh.
  Tried it.
  Said it was “Protected” = requires a password, but the entire post is visible to the public and now I can’t get it back to a draft without copy/paste & send original to trash.
  It sucks. I’ve had this problem before.

  (1) Thank you for removing my post from the forum.

  (2) I was hopeful that it would and had worked, but….

  Ugh.

  It’s getting worse.
  I’m adding pictures to previously posted blog entries and, when saved, they indicate they are still password protected, but they are not. The contents of these posts is now public!! WRONG. WRONG. WRONG.

  PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!!!

  They look password protected to me!

  Can you try signing out of WordPress.com, and check the blog post? You might have already gained access to the protected posts.
