Protecting GPS data when uploading and downloading images on wordpress.com

  GPS data is present when I upload an image to wordpress.com at original quality.
  When I download the same image it is 300kb smaller and is missing some metadata eg GPS.
  How this can be avoided.

  Hi @mkmweac1353cb251, generally speaking, we do optimize images for use on your website. Are you uploading the images through an app or using a browser-based editor? If you’re using the app, there are settings for EXIF and size.
