Protecting my Recipes and Information
-
I have a new blog and would like to know what I should add to protect my recipes and information from being stolen. I “WANT” people to use them but just don’t want them to take my recipes and call them “their own”
Thanks,

I’m no lawyer, but I did a quick google search, so I have that going for me…
I think that if you are really concerned about someone ‘stealing’ your recipes, they should not be on the internet. You have no practical way of tracking it and would need legal support to prosecute any thievery you did discover.
IMHO, put your recipes on your blog, don’t worry too much about it, and enjoy sharing them with the world. -
If it is on the web – someone will save it and maybe “borrow” it – there are some things you can do without getting a lawyer – the below will give you an overview

You do NOT need a lawyer, and there is no heavy lifting involved. But be aware that US courts have decided recipes are not copyright, although blog posts are, so make your decisions based on the content you uploaded. If your words were stolen, or your images were, you can take the actions recommended in that post.
