I would also like to know how to back up my blog so that in case of hacking I don’t lose it all.
Someone else who is with wordpress, and on the private, paid subscription has recently had their whole blog hacked. Each post that is clicked on gets the re-direction hacking happen.
How do I back up the blog?

Hi,
In my experience, WordPress is quite secure! Blogs on WordPress.com are hosted on WordPress servers, and they have staff monitoring and protecting these blogs at all time.
You can always backup your blog by using the Export feature also, but rest assured WordPress.com also has many backups of every blog.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for reply. I believe the information I received was from users of WordPress.org and not WordPress.com.
I stick to WordPress.com and trust they keep control of servers and my data :-)

WordPress.COM has not been hacked as far as I can remember…at least, not in the last five years. Individual blogs have been, because they had easily guessed passwords or had emails at Yahoo or other hosts who got hacked, and the hackers then used the “Forgot Password” to get their passwords.
Change your password AND your email password often and ALWAYS if there’s been a compromise of security. And make them different.
