Provide help finding templates
-
There are so many templates, for so many different kinds of websites. How do I find some that work for me? The current system worked when there were few; now they are legion. That’s success, but growth has its own challenges.
Some ideas: provide user reviews, code templates by type of website each is designed for. Or — the max solution — build a simple recommender: it asks several questions (experience required to use, text/video/music, purpose, number of authors & posts, etc) — then gives recommendations. You could make the recommender part of the unlimited template upgrade.
The next level of help: I’ve used Vigilance for years. What’s a newer more feature-rich template that I could easily upgrade to?
Also — is there a forum with volunteers to help choose templates? Crowd-sourcing help might work.

Yes, I should have mentioned that. The theme forum is great for technical questions. Not so useful for this kind of big question (unless there is a section I haven’t seen, which is quite possible).
Finding a theme would be easier with a database of themes, indexed by some simple features. It would be, imo, a high-value feature.
Or volunteers, if any could be found. It would be more useful, I believe, in a separate forum than the already vast “themes”.
