Pswd Protected Page as default post page not protected?

  • Unknown's avatar

I have a password protect page which is set as the default posts page. As soon as I set it has the default posts page, the password protection stopped. When I remove it has the default post page, the password box appears again. I tried it on another computer to make sure it wasn’t a saved cookie issue. I can password protect individual posts on the page, but not the entire page.

Does anyone know why or how to get around this? Do I have to use a plugin?

I can always just code the page to grab certain post, but I’m trying not to go this route because of my client (older and not computer savy)

    Thanks for your help, Robin
