Pub Dates conflicting with Mailchimp RSS Campaign

    Hello All,

My RSS feed campaign that is supposed to send out daily updates of my recent blog posts through Mailchimp is not sending. I contacted their support and they said there were issues with my publishing dates not reaching their system until days later. Does anyone know why this would be and how to fix it?

Here is exactly what tech support said in case there’s more information here that I am missing:

The issue here appears to stem from when the post is being updated to the feed URL. Your previous post from Mon, 15 Jun 2020 titled ‘Designing a Balcony on a Budget’ is first being seen by our system on June 17th. The logging here shows it sees the post on June 17th however it doesn’t send it out because it wasn’t published within the last 24 hours. Instead it has the published date, pubdate, is Mon, 15 Jun 2020 21:11:29 +0000.

Overall we’re just relying on your website publishing that info so if there is any delay in updating it, it may be causing this behavior for our system to not see any new posts. Other than those options, you’ll need to work with your website hosts or web developers to help ensure the site is being updated on time or when it’s expected to be updating.

    Thank you!

Hi there, what’s the address of the site you’re working on?

Keep in mind that these forums assist users of free sites on the WordPress.com platform. If your site is using the open source WordPress software, head over to https://wordpress.org/support/ where you’ll find documentation and users who have more experience with the software you are using. If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on the top of that page.

WPcom (where we are ) and WP are separate entities with different documentation and support forums. More information about the differences can be found here: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
