  You can always change your public display name to the one you like but only it hasn’t been used yet, https://wordpress.com/support/manage-my-profile/

  Hi there,

  Your public display name is the same as your username by default, but you can change the display name at any time, to whatever you want. Display names don’t have to be unique, and you can reverse a display name change at any time, unlike a username change which is permanent.
