Public Display Name not showing on computers

Hey everyone,
I am new to wordpress and keep having a recurring issue. A few days ago I updated my Public Display Name on my phone and it went great but it would only show up on mobile apps, not the computer. It took me forever to fix it but what I did at the time was go into the actual Support link to Usernames and Public Display Names section and it finally changed, but it would not change any other way which was odd.I just posted something else and it’s not showing again. I did the same exact thing I did the first time and it’s still not showing up. I’ve tried on two different computers, tried on Safari and Firefox, cleared every cookie, history and cache there is, forced refresh, etc. and it still won’t show up on any computer, only on my phone.
I am super new to this so I don’t mean to be irritating but I don’t understand a lot of the lingo everyone uses so step by step stuff really helps if it’s possible. I don’t know what to do and I’m pulling my hair out as to way this happened the first time and is now happening again.

And what public display name is supposed to show, and where is it supposed to show, and can you link us to there?
The root name, not the public display name, shows on the dashboard and in the forums.

On the Reader where it shows my post it should say The Dowdy Shepherd under my public display name and it should be clickable but it says
(No Title) and looks just like that.
I assume the root name means username? If that’s correct that’s what I’m seeing as well but on the reader it should show at the above, The Dowdy Shepherd as my username and public display name are different.I’m not sure how to link to the reader since I think you would have to Follow me in order to see that? Not sure. This is my blog address

I haven’t heard back about this so I wanted to see if I can get some help.
As previously stated, my Public Display name does not show. I “Followed” my blog so I could see it in my reader and see if everything is showing up properly but instead of showing my Public Display Name, which is The Dowdy Shepherd, it says (No Title). It did this a week ago and I kept clearing everything and finally went in and changed it a couple time until it showed, but now it’s doing it again and will not update.
Does anyone know why this is happening, keeps happening, or how to fix it? Thanks!

Oh, I forgot to add, my public display name does show up when I access it through the wordpress app, but not any computers no matter which server or provider it’s connected through.

It seems that no one knows how to help with this or I’m doing something wrong. Is there a way to contact staff to get help with this?
