    *This post is probably in the wrong place but I find it very necessary it is posted*.

    Hi again,

    It’s Tom. I am sure many volunteers here will know me from the past as “the guy who gives half-assed answers” etc… I am extremely sorry for any trouble I have ever caused this forum and I really do mean that.

    However, I don’t exactly appreciate it when people essentially slag me off in this forum topic: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/want-an-old-username-back?replies=26#post-1582886 Now this is extremely late coming (about a year and a half late) but it is more than necessary that I do make this post.

    Now, at the time of this topic, I was only 13 (I am still only 14 now). I was simply trying to help out and get involved within the WordPress.com community and decided that I’d get involved with these forums. These forums are very active and I love spending the time to help people, like all of the volunteers around here. At the time, Timethief was, in my opinion, the most active Volunteer. I’m not sure if this is still the case but it was back then.

    So, since I’d being using WP.com for over a year, I got involved with these forums, responding to topics as a volunteer. I found out that I enjoyed doing this and started to get more and more involved.

    At that time, I will admit, some of my answers could’ve been much better. However, how TimeThief and Raincoaster, for example would deal with these bad comments was something that I consider to be wrong.

    Although you weren’t aware, I was only 13 at the time. When you made them comments on that forum topic about my answers etc it made me feel SICK. I was felt really bad and was essentially scared of what could happen next. The comments weren’t said in a nice manner and it was just wrong, in my opinion.

    Now, the reason I’ve never brought this up before this time is, because, as I’ve already mentioned, I was only 13 at the time and was simply too scared to bring this up.

    I did eventually get over this, of course, when I returned to the forums to try again and gain a better reputation with the volunteers but I once again failed, as you’ll probably know.

    The only reason I am bringing this topic up now is because I have read this particular topic recently and it upset me what was said in that topic. It may not seem harsh to you what you were saying, and you might’ve been angry, but it made me feel extremely bad that day, I must admit.

    So, all I expect is an apology from those involved. I can then move on from WP.com completely and get out of everybody’s way.
