Public privacy settings
-
I want make my account public to anyone with whom I share the link to. It currently only has
a. Visible to members of the site (which I think not all hiring managers/ top level creative directors have)b. Private / c. Password protected (a hassle for my potential bosses).
I googled how to do this and your support website claims there’s a ‘Settings’ > ‘Privacy’ step. Today, the closest tab is ‘Account Settings’ and nothing at all about ‘Privacy’ or ‘Public.’ Please help. Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
a. Visible to members of the site (which I think not all hiring managers/ top level creative directors have)
b. PrivateViewers of a private site are limited to WordPress.com members. See the Privacy Settings support page. The “Public” setting allows anyone to visit the site. The “Private” privacy options is described as follows:
Select this option to make your site private. If you want specific people to be able to view it (and add comments, if you’ve enabled them), you’ll need to invite them to be a viewer.
The Viewing a Private Site section of the Privacy Settings support page notes that
All viewers added to a private site must have a WordPress.com account — this ensures that only those people you’ve authorized are able to view it…
and provides a link to the Inviting Contributors, Followers, and Viewers support page, which used to but presently omits instructions for inviting members to view a private site. I’m presuming the “Viewers” are now included in the User options illustrated in the How to Invite People to Your Site section of this support page.
If that’s not the case, then I suggest you add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar of this topic to call for staff attention.
c. Password protected (a hassle for my potential bosses).
The site can’t be password protected. Individual posts and pages may be.
