Publication – readd sidebar to pages
-
when initially configuring my pages, I have deleted the 2 sidebars of theme publication from my pages. Now I would like to readd them to the pages. I have already tried to configure via the widgets configuration, also using rules for different pages, but they are not displayed on any page. What can I do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, @reisezudritt,
Is this the site you need assistance with?
The blog I need help with is reisezudritt.wordpress.com.
If do see two sidebars there. Were you able to resolve this?
Let us know. Thanks.

Yes, Site is reisezudrit… and no, Not resolved. It is now only part of the menu but Not displayed on right hand side of the pages.

Okay, so taking a look at your site, I see two sidebars on posts and pages.
Can you provide a link to a specific page on your site, and let me know what exactly is missing. I’m not sure what I’m looking for at the moment. :)
Unless you are talking about widgets within the sidebars.(?).
Thanks!

@reisezudritt,
@christinemaze,Hi. Like @christinemaze, I find two sidebar widget areas, with widgets displayed in them, on the right of both static pages and single posts. I also find the same on the blog page. However, that’s on a desktop PC screen. When I reduce the width of the browser window, to mimic a smaller screen, all of the widgets in the two sidebar widget areas are moved to the slideout menu in the header area.

You’re welcome, Amazing Christine. : )
The effect is evidently due to responsive theme design. It is a result how the theme was designed to respond to various viewport or screen sizes. I don’t know if there’s any way of modifying that behavior.

@musicdoc1 :-) Thanks for always making me smile. I, admit, I tend to forget about smaller devices. Probably b/c my eyes don’t read them well. LOL. *making mental note *

It is now only part of the menu but Not displayed on right hand side of the pages.
I suspect the difference that you’re seeing after adding deleted widgets back to the sidebar widget areas is due to viewing the site with a smaller screen now than previously. If that’s not the case, and if the issue is still present when you view the site on a larger screen, then please let us know.

Hi, thanks for explanation. I agree it is a matter of Screen size. I am viewing on a notebook, 1.980 x 1.000 pixels. Obviously in a large Desktop Screen, the sidebar moves to Main area, like intended. Issue is solved now.
