[Publication Theme] is it possible to have sidebar widgets on frontpage only

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

I love the new publication theme and just applied it to my site. However – I only want to two sidebar widgets to appear on the frontpage (which is also my posts page). Is it possible to set the theme up this way? (even with CSS?)

    Thanks in advance.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,
You should be able to accomplish this, without CSS customization, by setting the visibility settings of each widget in your two widget areas to “Show if page is posts page.” However, on a test website with the Publication theme activated, I was unable to modify widget visibility settings. Clicking on the visibility button in any widget merely caused the page to jump, without displaying visibility options. For this reason, I’ll tag the topic for staff attention.

Thanks! I adjusted the visibility settings to front page and it worked perfectly

    Great! You’re welcome.

I’ll remove the modlook tag because the issue is also resolved for me. As mentioned above, the widget visibility buttons didn’t work (weren’t opening) on my test website with the Publication theme activated. However, they are working properly now.
