  I want to set priority on one twitter account in publicize so that account shows up when people post the blog to twitter.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there. You’re speaking of the Twitter sharing buttons, not Publicize. All Publicize does is to auto-post new posts on your blog to Twitter and has nothing to do with when others share your blog.

  To set the account that is mentioned when people share a post to Twitter, go to the bottom of the Settings ->Sharing page. Look for the option “Twitter username to include in tweets when people share using the Twitter button.” Insert the Twitter username you want to use there and save the settings.

  Hi,

  I have a question. Ever since I used “publicize” on my website – my Facebook and twitter shares are not showing the accurate share number on my posts. They are only showing a few shares, when before I added publicize they were showing many more. Do you know why this is? I would really appreciate your help with this.

  Yes. The record of shares you see here at WordPress.com are the share links that were clicked only on your blog. The stats do not include any shares made on the social networking sites rather than on your blog.

  Thank you! I understand. But now my shares do not seem to show at all. I have about 49 FB shares on my homepage and many others. Should I switch from Icon only to Icon with the wording?

  That will make no difference at all, except in that it might induce people unfamiliar with, but registered on, those social networks to click.
