Publicize – add excerpt to title tweet
-
I used Publicize to connect my blog <http://ltlatnd.wordpress.com/> to my Twitter feed. It works fine, except that only the title tweets. When I used Twitterfeed for this, it would tweet the title, followed by the excerpt. The title is not enough of a tweet for me. Is there a fix for this?

Hi there,
You can adjust the message that is sent to Twitter via Publicize when you create a new post. In the Publish box, click the Publicize Edit link. You can then customize the message that gets sent by typing it in to the Custom Message box. We also have more information about using Publicize here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#using-publicize
For Publicize to include an image in the tweet, the image needs to be at least 200 x 200 pixels. It looks like some of your recent blog posts have smaller images than that, which is why they aren’t being picked up by Publicize. You can find out more about how images work with Publicize here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#images-in-publicize
Please let me know if you have any questions about this!

Looks like I’ll be going back to Twitterfeed, then. I often don’t want images that are 200 px high, and I refuse to write a second excerpt when I already have a perfectly good one. Thanks for the help!
