Publicize Best Practices

  I’m trying to figure out the best way to use Facebook and Twitter with WordPress. I understand that everyone’s situation is a bit different, but I really just need some basic technical guidance with respect to auto-posting.

  Can anyone point me to a good article or two about using social media with WP? I really want to use each service when suitable, and not just auto-post everything everywhere. Couldn’t that result in a ridiculous feedback loop if I set up each service’s auto-post features? Somebody has to have written something about this issue.

  You are correct when thinking that despite the ubiquitous statements to the opposite effect, autoposting duplicate snippets and links across multple social networks, rather than manual posting unique snippets with links to each social networking site, results in fewer people reading your full posts on your site.
