publicize changed "http" to "https" on facebook

facebook publicize changed http to https on my most recent blog post, so my facebook readers were getting security certificate errors. how do I prevent this?

I’m sorry about that! That definitely shouldn’t be happening. I did a test on my blog, and the shared URL was not https. Has this happened multiple times since your initial report? I went to your Facebook page, and it looks like the http URL was shared on your most recent post.

It seems to be working now. I tried both “publicize” and sharing directly from the post with the sharing buttons. I haven’t seen the issue again, but I will keep an eye out for it. Thank you for the response.
I noticed another person’s blog has a “recent posts” section that is all in “https” right on his page, but all his other links and modules are “http”. Maybe it could be a hosting/domain issue?

Can you point me to where you’re seeing the Recent Posts section elsewhere? Provided you aren’t manually entering https when entering links into posts, WordPress.com should default to http.

In the “categories” list on the right hand side. Earlier it was happening to ‘recent posts’, but it either stopped or he fixed it.

That’s really odd. When I initially checked this out, the links were indeed https. However, now, I’m looking at it, and all of the links are http. I’m not sure exactly what’s up here. If you notice https links in default widgets (like Tag and Category widgets), please let me know so I can investigate further!
