Publicize doesn’t work anymore

  I’ve been using wordpress publicize to post my blog posts automatically on twitter and facebook for 7 years now. Suddenly it stopped working. I already tried to reconnect several times but nothing changes. An error with the message ‘500 status code for ‘POST /sites/70080800/publicize-connections/new” appears when I do this. Is there something I can do to get it back to work?

  The site mentioned does not use our managed hosting environment from WordPress.com. Instead, it’s set up on the open source WordPress.org software which is something different.
